The rumours are true, Fido will launch a new category of wireless monthly airtime package that gives customers more of what they want - more anytime minutes; and less of what they don't need - coverage in places they rarely visit. Urban is a new zone-based product that marries the concept of urban zones with a defined amount of anytime minutes, and will be introduced in Quebec City, Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto, London, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria. Now urban-based wireless customers who prefer not to watch the clock with evening and weekend options may find this package more valuable and flexible for their wireless lifestyle.

Customers who travel regularly outside of the urban zones of Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver can also choose to add the Suburban Zone option for $5 per month to cover an additional area outside of the main urban zone. Even if customers travel outside of their zone, they still have access to the national GSM network on a pay-per-use basis.
