Five more great bands have been confirmed to perform at the Virgin Festival on September 9 and 10. Muse, Wintersleep, Lupe Fiasco, Matt Mays & El Torpedo and The Diableros will join previously confirmed artists The Flaming Lips, Massive Attack, The Raconteurs and Gnarls Barkley - among others - at the Toronto Centre Island Park where they will perform for an expected 50,000 fans.

New additions to the Line-up

DAY 1 Muse

The British rock trio of Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and
Dominic Howard released their fifth album, "Black Holes &
Revelations" in July, 2006. Opening at the top of the U.K.
charts, it is the band's second consecutive No. 1 album.

Wintersleep
Formed in 2002, the Halifax-based band Wintersleep released their first album in 2003, followed by their untitled sophomore album in 2005.

DAY 2 Lupe Fiasco

Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco's album "Lupe Fiasco's Food and Liquor" is set to hit stores on August 29. Working with a production lineup that includes Pharell Williams, Kanye West and Jay-Z, Lupe's first single, "Kick, Push" entered the
Billboard charts at No. 98.

Matt Mays & El Torpedo

Made up of Canadians Matt Mays, Jarrett Murphy, Andy Patil, Rob Crowell and Tim Baker, Matt Mays & El Torpedo released their self-titled album in 2005. The group took home four awards at the 2006 East Coast Music Awards and their single, "Cocaine Cowgirl" was the third most played song on rock radio in 2005.

The Diableros

The Diableros, formed in Toronto in 2004, released their debut album "You Can't Break the Strings in Our Olympic Hearts" in November 2005. Last year, the six-piece band was nominated by CBC for an award as best new Canadian act of 2005.

Belgian mixers, 2ManyDJs, have been removed from the line-up due to scheduling conflicts.
