Does anyone know whether I am able to download an application (say a game) from another website (NOT telusmobility site) into my phone? I have the LG 4600 and I keep getting an error (error 406) everytime I try to download it from a web link.

telus is CDMA, sometimes is harder to download games and such to cdma phones because they are manufactured to operate only with the providers games etc. samething with Bell. Not sure a way around this.

Thanks for the information. If this is the case, then it is more an infrastructure problem than a policy one... do you agree?

No way, it's policy IMO.

Telus gets the manufacturer to lock the phone to accept only Telus software. Bell does the same thing. CDMA permits this. Or so says my contacts.
