TELUS is now making the new kids phone from LG, the LG MIGO, available to Canadians.
Instead of a regular phone keypad, the Migo has only four programmable speed-dial keys and one programmable emergency key, all of which parents can pre-set to phone numbers they choose and protect with a passcode. Parents can also program specific ringtones to correspond with up to four different callers.
The oval-shaped Migo weighs 70 grams (2.5 ounces) and features two bug-like antennas, a speakerphone, volume control keys and a display screen that allows for Caller Line ID service but not Internet access. Accessories such as wrist straps and carabiner-style backpack clips are also available.
The LG Migo is available for $0 on a two-year or three-year contract, or $99.99 with no contract, when activated on any TELUS Family Plan rate plan.
Visit the LG forum to read more about this phone. We also have a number of contract offers, but that's only for US users since Telus can't get their act together online.
